NuWest Fintech Ltd ("NuWest", "we", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal data responsibly.

NuWest Fintech Ltd is a company incorporated in the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), located at IH-00-01-01-OF-01, Level 1, Innovation One, Dubai International Financial Centre. NuWest is the Controller of the personal data described in this policy.

This Privacy Policy explains how NuWest collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data, whether obtained through this Website or through other interactions with us. It is provided in accordance with the Data Protection Law, DIFC Law No. 5 of 2020, under which NuWest has notified its processing operations to the DIFC Commissioner of Data Protection.

NuWest provides non-regulated, educational financial planning services and is not authorised by the Dubai Financial Services Authority or any other financial services regulator.

The personal data NuWest processes depends on how you interact with us.

‍Information you provide directly: When you contact us, subscribe to communications, or engage NuWest for financial planning, we may collect: Identification and contact details, name, age, sex, email address, telephone number, and address. Household composition, including family members' ages and education timelines. Employment and income details. Household expenditure. Assets and liabilities. Tax and residency status. Financial goals. Information you submit through enquiry forms, subscription forms, or booking tools.

‍Information about your family members: To prepare a financial plan, NuWest may hold information about members of your household, such as a spouse or children, including their ages, education timelines, and their bearing on household income and expenditure. This information is typically provided by you rather than by those individuals directly. Where you provide personal data about others, you confirm you are authorised to do so, and we ask you to share this Privacy Policy with them.

‍Information collected automatically through the Website: When you use this Website, we may collect IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and usage data through cookies.

‍Special Category data: NuWest does not collect Special Categories of Personal Data (such as data concerning health, religious beliefs, or similar). Please do not send us health or other sensitive information. If you provide such information, we will delete it.

3. How We Use Your Information

NuWest processes personal data for the purposes set out below. For each purpose, we rely on a lawful basis under the DIFC Data Protection Law 2020. We process your personal data to respond to your enquiries, relying on our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us. We use it to arrange introductory meetings or consultations, relying on our legitimate interests in discussing our services with you or, where you have engaged us, on the performance of our contract with you. We process it to prepare educational financial plans, being cash flow projections and goal costing, relying on the performance of our contract with you. We use it to provide educational insights or updates that you have subscribed to, relying on your consent. We process it to ensure the security of our network and information systems, relying on our legitimate interests in maintaining the security and integrity of our systems. We use it to improve Website functionality, relying on our legitimate interests in operating and improving our Website. And we process it to comply with legal or regulatory obligations, relying on compliance with a legal obligation to which NuWest is subject. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have considered those interests against your rights and freedoms. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

4. Marketing Communications

Where you have subscribed to receive them, NuWest may send you occasional updates covering our approach to financial planning, educational content, and firm developments. We send these communications on the basis of your consent, which you provide when you subscribe. You may withdraw your consent and unsubscribe at any time, using the link included in every communication or by contacting us. Withdrawing consent will not affect any other processing of your personal data.

5. Sharing Information

NuWest does not sell personal data. We share personal data only as described below.

‍Service providers: We use a small number of trusted technology providers to operate our business, and personal data may be processed by them on our behalf: Google Workspace, email and document storage. Mailchimp, email marketing communications. Webflow, website hosting. Cal.com, appointment scheduling. Each provider processes personal data only on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.

‍Artificial intelligence tools: Where NuWest uses artificial intelligence tools to assist its work, personal data is anonymised before it is used with any such tool. These tools do not receive information that identifies you, and the providers of those tools do not act as processors of your personal data.

‍Legal and regulatory authorities: We may disclose personal data where required to comply with applicable law or the request of a competent authority or regulator.

‍Business transfers: If NuWest undergoes a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

6. International Transfers

Some of our service providers are located outside the DIFC, so your personal data may be transferred to other jurisdictions. NuWest takes appropriate administrative and technical measures to protect personal data against:

8. Data Retention

NuWest retains personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, or to comply with legal and regulatory requirements. In practice, this means:Client files are retained for seven years following the end of our engagement. Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are retained for six months. Personal data used for marketing communications is retained until you unsubscribe.Where personal data is no longer required, it is securely deleted.
